The exhibition of work by visiting Swiss architecture students was originally shown in Galway as part of Open House Galway 2012, facilitated by Galway City Council’s Arts and Architecture departments, and was subsequently brought to Dublin and Belfast by the AAI.

The exhibition featured an architectural survey of Galway and design projects that explore new ways to think about the future of the city by students of Studio Tom Emerson at the ETH Zurich, Switzerland.

The student design projects presented transformative projects for the city, endeavouring to alter perceptions of the city for residents and visitors.

“These are the kind of student projects that change your perception of a place forever… So when I visit Galway next, I will encounter these strange and wonderful imagined worlds as my new reality.” Shelley McNamara, Grafton Architects.
