Architect’s Description:
The project is a new 26-classroom primary school. The design was awarded first prize in the Department of Education and Skills / RIAI architectural competition to design a new model for urban primary schools and learning spaces in Ireland in the 21st Century. It seeks to create a series of interconnected spaces that support informal learning and socialising opportunities, and to carefully integrate this large building into this very sensitive location.
Engineering consultancy services for the project are provided by Waterman Moylan Consultant Engineers and quantity surveying by Nolan Construction Consultants.
