Project Description:
This project for 88 apartments and Public Library looks to transform an underdeveloped peripheral site adjacent the busy N11 into a quarter that establishes a new landmark on the skyline for those approaching along the carriageway while extending the public realm for the local community.
The residential component of the scheme, organised around a landscaped garden, steps and adjusts to suit the differing conditions of the site, with heights rising from 4 to 9 storeys.
The two-storey Library is located at the head of the development with direct access to the communal garden. Its stepped approach creates a covered promenade as part of pedestrian route through the scheme.
