Shin Egashira is an artist, architect and educator that worked in Tokyo, Beijing and New York before coming to London where he stablished since 1987. From 1990 he has taught at the Architectural Association School of Architecture and has been Unit Master since 1996. His works have been exhibited internationally. He has been artist in residency at the Camden Arts Centre in London and Bennington College in Vermont.
Shin has taught many workshops around the world, including Ireland. He is the founder and organiser of Koshirakura Landscape Workshop in Niigata, the Muxagata Building Workshop in Portugal and the AA Maeda Workshop in Tokyo, London and Hooke Park.
Shin presented a variety of artistic and architectural projects, exhibitions and workshops and spoke of his approach to architectural practice, how we built a practice outside of the percevied bounds of architecture.
