The AAI are delighted to partner with the Irish Architecture Foundation to promote Open Studios this year, presented as part of Open House Dublin. We encourage our members to join this year’s programme.
Open Studios is a strand of Open House Dublin that offers the public a unique opportunity to step inside architectural practices and meet the architects shaping Dublin’s built environment. Launched in 2024, the programme forms part of the festival’s evening programme (5pm–8pm) during festival week, with architecture studios across Dublin opening their doors for informal visits, talks and conversations. Visitors gain an insight into the work, projects and culture of participating practices, creating meaningful connections between architects and the public while showcasing the breadth and quality of contemporary architectural practice. Open Studios complements the main Open House programme, and many practices choose to participate in both, highlighting completed projects as well as the people and processes behind them.
This year’s Open Studios will take place 13-17th October, between 5pm and 8pm.
We are flexible in the format that you might want to get involved in (guided tours, talks, open doors, workshops). We will group participating studios across the city where possible, coordinating opening times to give visitors the opportunity to visit more than one location during the evening.
Every participating practice will be highlighted and promoted through the Open House Dublin programme and communications, offering an excellent opportunity to engage with new audiences and showcase your work.
All visits will be fully supported by the Open House Dublin team, with experienced volunteers accompanying visitors and all booking and administration managed by the IAF.
