Established in 2004 by Jimi Shields + Maria Vlahos, TTT is a multi-disciplinary practice with particular emphasis on landscape architecture and garden design. After leaving New York, where they installed gardens for the artist William Wegman and film producer Scott Rudin, Shields & Vlahos lived at Mount Usher Gardens for 4 years, where, inspired by the transition from New York City, the idea of TTT was born.
TTT have collaborated with many internationally renowned architects, contributed to various award winning projects and exhibited internationally; including the Venice Architecture Biennale, 2010 (as a member of dePaor Architects design team). Commissions to date include private gardens, hotel gardens, private estates, public parks, restaurant interior, and site specific installations. Shields & Vlahos were awarded the Arts Council Architecture Project Award for 2011 and were awarded, by merit of their work, the first affiliate memberships to the Irish Landscape Institute in 2009.
Jimi Shields, graduate of the Dublin School of Architecture (DIT), has been invited to speak and teach at various universities including, UCD School of Architecture, UCD School of Landscape Architecture, Dublin School of Architecture (DIT) and UCC School of Architecture.
