The refurbishment of the Milltown and Dargan wings of the National Gallery of Ireland is currently underway and will greatly improve the Gallery’s ability to protect, preserve and display the collection. This work includes a newly designed Merrion Square entrance, improvements to visitor orientation, introduction of environmental control and extensive upgrading to the building fabric including rooflights and services in both wings while maintaining the character and historic fabric of the 1864 and 1901 wings.

heneghan peng architects led the design and worked with Conservation Architects Blackwood Associates Architects on the refurbishment of the National Gallery.

Note: This event takes place on an active construction site, and access can only be granted to adults wearing full PPE (hard hat, hi-vis vest and site shoes)
