Tom de Paor was born in 1967 in London, and grew up in Co.Clare. Tom studied at the Dublin Institute of Technology and University College Dublin, graduating in 1991. He has practised privately since 1991, often working collaboratively with other architects and artists, including Emma O’Neill, Dominic Stevens and Eilis O’Connell. He has lectured and exhibited widely abroad and has served as a visiting critic in various universities internationally.
Tom explained profound and diverse influences on his work. Tom illustrated his approach to the built world through his presentation of his ongoing thoughts on a place of his own, and his efforts to construct that place.
