Yvonne Farrell and Shelley McNamara graduated from UCD in 1974 and are founder members of Grafton Architects established in 1977. Their work has been published extensively internationally and exhibited at Dublin, London, Paris, Madrid, Venice and Zurich, they received numerous national and international awards including the World Building of the Year award in 2008 for their Bocconi University building in Milan and the Silver Lion at the 13th International Architecture Exhibition at la Biennale di Venezia.
Yvonne and Shelley spoke of formative interests and experiences, how they and their colleagues at Grafton practice, and presented recent projects including the Graduate Entry Medical School at the University of Limerick and their project for Toulouse School of Economics and their University Campus of Engineering and Technology, UTEC, in Lima, Peru.
