Architect’s Description:
Renovation of typical semi-detached house in Mount Merrion, including a two storey extension to the rear. The new structure has been carved with a series of convex and concave curves to form internal light-filled double height spaces. The curves reference the bay windows of the street while also softening the relationship between the new extension and garden.
About the Architects:
Architectural Farm is a design focused architectural studio based in Dublin, who have been published and exhibited both domestically and internationally. The practice specialises in high quality, innovative residential and public commissions across the country. Their small, enthusiastic and dedicated studio has been led by Shane Cotter and Kathryn Wilson since 2014.
