Trump – Making Federal Buildings Beautiful Again
Phillip Bigger, UCD Final Year Masters student, will describe Donald Trump‘s Draft Executive Order ‘Making Federal Buildings Beautiful Again’ (February 2020). Having undermined the independence of multiple government departments, Trump was planning to impose an official (classical) style of architecture. While his ambitions have been put on hold, it’s almost certain that Trumpism in some form will return sooner or later. Phillip will show us what it has planned for the architectural profession.
